Roman d’Amour

French spoken-word poetry over deep house, from Alastair Lane and Sarah Degey. The track has over 16,000,000 Spotify streams and appears in 180,000 TikTok and 37,000 Instagram posts. Degey delivers her lines entirely in French, on themes of romance, absence and the fleeting beauty of nightlife, against a hypnotic beat and lush synth textures. It sits as well on a high-fashion runway as in a late-night lounge set.
